I don't like looking at my laptop while playing, so I've set mine up around loading in the tracks you want to play ahead of time, and providing easy scrolling navigation around the set. So an example of the differences are both Will and ill's templates are centered around constructing sets on the fly by dragging tracks in from the library. (Shameless plug warning) I also have my own APC template that is more designed for producers who have stems and want a flexible way to play their tracks out live. His APC template is VERY DJ centric, so if you're aiming more for the DJ approach, that might be a good route. Lot's of great stuff that will save you a LOT of time.
Ill.Gates's Production template is fantastic, I highly recommend it.
